Keswick is located in the Northern Lake District, 16 miles West of Penrith and 30 miles South of Carlisle. The town is situated at the foot of the Skiddaw mountain range and at the Northern end of Derwentwater, the widest lake in the Lake District. The town attracts a wide range of visitors who enjoy the beauty of the area. There are variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and galleries, a cinema, leisure centre, museum and well reputed theatre. There are also some stunning parks and the nearby lake, where you can hire rowing boats or take the launch. A number of places on interest nearby make this an exciting area to stay.

Keswick is a haven for walkers who visit the beautiful town as a base for some of the best and most famous walks in England. Many visitors travel down Borrowdale Valley which is the most direct route to ascend Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England.
